We spent the last ten days or so in Alaska covering Seward to Denali. A couple of photos are attached... Houston weather is tough to take ... it was freezing a couple of mornings in Denali.

He walked right up the the bus..

Denali is usually behind clouds... we were lucky to catch a beautiful day in the park.

A whale waving goodbye on a day cruise...

That is awesome pics, I always wanted to go there. I have had chance to for work but working there wouldnt be any fun for I'd miss alot of the places I want to go
Beautiful photos! I went to Alaska on my honeymoon and regretted we did not make it to Denali.

We were really lucky in Denali. I guess clear days are not real common, in fact I think this was the first non-rain day in a couple of weeks. So seeing the mtn coupled with several grizzlies was really something. Evidently you usually get either the mtn or wildlife (if you can see the mtn, then it is clear, which means hot and the wildlife are sleeping most of the day) but usually not both.

If anyone else goes there, you can save some cash by calling a local restaurant (Salmon Bake or something like that) who can make all the local hotel and "Excursion" reservations for you... 60-70% of the web pricing. We paid for too much ($200/night) for a bad hotel... similar quality was available across the street for $99/night.
My sister lives in North Pole Alaska and my son and i went there one summer for six weeks. To this day i still say it was one of the most beautiful experiences i have ever had. We went to the valdiez glacier and Danali. We also went panning for gold, were we ran into a grizzly catching salmon in the river we were panning in. On our way to danali we saw 2 Dull Sheep (rams with big curled horns) bucking heads on a cliff. The noise it made echoed through the hills. Altogether the trip was awe inspiring and i truely reccommed if you have the chance to go, do so.
